Most Popular Questions

What time of day should I drink Yakult?

Whenever you like! Many people incorporate Yakult into their breakfast regime.

How often should I drink Yakult?

We recommend one bottle daily, to top up the good bacteria in your gut. If you'd like a second bottle, that's fine. However, Yakult isn't meant to be a thirst-quencher - it's a probiotic.

What is the sediment at the bottom of the bottle?

It is a natural settling of the skimmed milk solids (a result of the production process).  Its presence will not affect the taste or effectiveness of Yakult.

How should I store Yakult?

Yakult must be refrigerated. Bottles can be removed from a fridge for a short time, for example, on the trip home from the shops.

Is Yakult suitable for people taking antibiotics?

In fact, since antibiotics can disrupt all the bacteria in the gut, doctors often recommend taking probiotic products such as Yakult during and after a course of antibiotics, in order to rebalance the gut flora. It is, however, advisable to take Yakult at a different time of day to the antibiotic.
