The bacteria in our bottles are transient, which means they only remain in your intestines for a limited time. They get the job done, then move on. Drinking one of Yakult each day can help support your good bacteria, which helps keep your gut healthy.
This isn't essential, its just that many people find that drinking Yakult at the same time each day helps them stick to a daily routine. If you'd rather have it with your lunch or evening meal, thats absolutely fine too.
Each bottle of Yakult has billions of good bacteria in it. This means that drinking one bottle regularly will enure enough good bacteria reach the intestine alive to be beneficial. However, if you decide you want two bottles a day, that is also fine. Yakult, like any other food should be drunk as part of a healthy and balanced diet.
Prebiotics help to stimulate the growth of the existing good bacteria in your intestines. You'll find them in foods like bananas, onions, leeks, asparagus, artichokes, as well as (to a lesser degree) in beans and pulses like chickpeas and lentils.
