Snacks. We all need them occasionally. But like most things, there are good ones and bad ones.
Sugary snacks have ‘empty’ calories which provide you with nothing else in the way of protein, fibre or minerals. We suggest it’s best to limit this sort of food as much as you can. Instead, eat snacks that fill you up while doing a bit of good to your gut at the same time.
Swap your sugary snacks for healthy snacks. Try two oatcakes with 2 tsps peanut butter. Or a bowl of fresh raspberries and blueberries topped with one small pot of low fat natural yoghurt.
