Lesson Two

Today's lesson is all about balance. At Yakult, it’s a word we use a lot.

All sorts of digestive problems can be prevented by eating a balanced diet. Generally, all of us could do with eating more fruit, veg and wholegrains. And fewer of those harmful fatty, salty and processed foods. Obvious really. But to be more precise, here’s a little guide to how much you should try to get through every day.

 

Food Stuff How much
Bread, other cereals, potatoes At least 3 servings
Fruit and vegetables At least 5 servings
Milk and dairy foods 3 servings
Meat, fish and alternatives 2 servings
Fatty and sugary foods like chocolate and biscuits In moderation


Today, why not start by eating two more portions of fruit and veg than normal? Or squeeze in a couple of extra portions of beans and pulses.
